Vedanta
'Veda' means complete knowledge and 'anta' means the end. As such, Vedanta is the culmination of Vedic wisdom. On a simpler note, Vedanta is an ancient Indian philosophy that explores the steps to achieving ultimate bliss and contentment
My Story
My introduction to the world of Vedanta was a serendipitous occurrence. In grade 8, I happened to attend a guest speech by a Vedanta scholar in my neighbourhood. In those next 60 minutes, Vedanta's principles presented me with a surprisingly simple yet logical outlook on life. Utterly enamoured by the subject, I decided that to be they best version of myself, I had to set out on the journey of self-improvement through Vedanta.
In the midst of the pandemic, I started exploring Vedanta through online lessons with mentors from the Vedanta Institute. Despite being the youngest student in the class, I was dedicated to furthering my understanding of the philosophy. I delved into books such as "The Fall of the Human Intellect", "Vedanta Treatise", "The Holocaust of Attachment" among others. Additionally, I also visited the Vedanta Academy in Pune, residing in the campus for over 2 weeks as a part of the Vedanta Global Youth Program.
To this day, I continue to attend weekly Vedanta lessons and hope to take this pursuit forward for the rest of my life.
